Becoming a Mason

Are you thinking of becoming a Freemason?

Becoming a Freemason will make a big difference to your life. If you understand the principles and aims of Freemasonry  you will know that its objective is to make its members better, both as individuals, and as members of society. Our entry requirements are clear and the benefits of membership are delivered in many different ways.

Freemasonry is not for everyone, however, and each lodge makes its own decisions about the men that it admits as members. A candidate for membership must be proposed by two existing members, as is the case in many golf clubs for example, and it is most important that a new member fits in with the ethos of the existing members of the lodge. If you meet our entry requirements, you may find it surprisingly easy to join a lodge near where you live.
