Introduction

Welcome to the Home Page of Berkshire Freemasonry, which I hope will be of interest to both Freemasons, and to non masons who wish to learn more, and may be thinking of joining this international fraternity which has been in existence for more than three hundred years. It aims to bring together men of goodwill regardless of background, religion or political persuasion and it promotes tolerance, charity and integrity.

The Masonic Province of Berkshire encompasses the old county boundaries with meeting places from Hungerford and Faringdon in the West to Windsor in the East. Details of all locations are featured in this site.

The Berkshire Masonic Centre at Sindlesham, between Reading and Wokingham, is the Provincial Headquarters and administrative centre, with four lodge rooms together with dining facilities and bars. There is also a large banqueting suite and several other rooms which are available for hire for non-masonic occasions, such as business meetings, receptions, weddings and dinner dances etc.

Sindlesham is also the home of the Berkshire Library and Museum of Freemasonry, which houses an extensive range of books and a fascinating collection of masonic artifacts.

I do hope that you will enjoy browsing our website and that we will be able to answer any enquiries.
