Berkshire Freemasons Support CLIC Sargent at their Windsor Race Evening

CLIC Sargent Windsor Race Evening June 2015Once again the Berkshire Freemasons responded to the CLIC Sargent appeal for support at their Windsor Race Evening meeting in June by fielding a team to help with the bucket collections and raffle ticket sales.

Over £2,000 was raised by the Berkshire Freemasons team of Lyn and Teri Austen, Peter and Linda Sullivan, Karol and Hazel Bauman, David and Jennie Biggs and Lionel Voke.  And it could have been even more if CLIC hadn’t run out of raffle ticket books!

It was a special event for CLIC who said “For the last 10 years CLIC Sargent’s major event team have been in partnership with Windsor Racecourse and have worked together to put on the CLIC Sargent Windsor Race Evening. This has been a very successful partnership and to celebrate 10 years of working together we were offered the whole race course to put on a community event in the grounds. We had a funfair theme with games going on throughout the evening and we also had a raffle and bucket collections”.

The pantomime horse race CLIC ran with crazy volunteers had a huge impact on social media and reached over 1 million people!

The evening finished with an ABBA tribute band performance which helped to loosen some more loose change as the punters left. We understand that none of the Berkshire Freemasons team proved to be a source of great joy or sorrow to the many bookies on the course!

The Berkshire Freemasons will be back again next year to support the CLIC Windsor Race Evening.
