Berkshire Masonic Charity Donates over £45,000 in 2014

The Berskhire Masonic Charity has donated £45,916 to local good causes in 2014.  The donations have been made to a wide cross section of organisations and individuals including schools, scout and guide groups, churches, hospitals, hospices and charities helping a wide range of ages and needs.

Bishopswood-chequeThis included £1,000 to Bishopswood special school in Sonning Common for new nursery equipment   Association secretary Jenny Wager said: “The equipment allows children with additional physical difficulties to use their eye gaze to operate computer software to make choices, communicate, play games and have control over their environment.”

IMG_20141124_105722£1,000 to Growing Places Berkshire at their farm in Startfield Turgis for their ‘Keep Growing’ project.


A further £750 was donated to the 103rd Reading Scout Group to help eight members go to the Haarlem Jamborette in Holland next year. This was reported in the Reading Chronicle on 27th November but unfortunately does not currently feature on their web site.
