The Big Bucket Collection of loose change for CLIC Sargent raised an amazing total of £1,443.66 in just three days at Sainsbury, Broad St. Reading, and Tesco, Bracknell.
A team of wonderful Freemason bucketeers, together with their wives and other friends and family made the whole event possible. Muir Baxter who coordinated the Freemason efforts for the CLIC Big Bucket Collection said: “Carole and I really appreciated the support and goodwill and if we would like to thank everyone individually who gave and helped with the collection”.
The Berkshire Freemasons support CLIC Sargent on an on-going basis in many ways, giving both time and money, helping them to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds in the region. One of the ways that Freemasons give their time to CLIC Sargeant, helping them to save a lot of money and raise £55,000 in the process, is to marshal the Reading Half-Marathon. Details of the 2014 event are available here. A letter of thanks for the work of the Berkshire Freemasons has recently been received from CLIC Sargent and can be read here.
