Berkshire Masonic Golfing Society

The object of the Berkshire Masonic Golfing Society (BMPGS) founded in April 1923, is to promote and organise Berkshire Masonic Golfers to meet in competition:
Our Motto is:

Golfing for Fun, Friendship and Charity

Winners of Middlesex 60th Anniversary Open
Winners of Middlesex
60th Anniversary Open

Our season starts with the BMPGS Invitation normally played in April as pairs member and guest better ball. We also compete for The Windsor Castle Trophy, Vanderpump Cup, Flavell Trophy and lastly the The Benford Cup, which replaced the retired Langley Cup in 2010. These trophies are also played for in conjunction with our Provincial matches to reduce the number of fixtures. The Victor Ludorum Trophy and Masons Putter are further awards for best aggregate scores. The year ends with an annual ladies night presentation and dinner where our proceeds are presented to the respective Masonic Charities. Since 2000, BPMGS has awarded over £35,000 to Masonic Charities.

Further matches are arranged against other Provinces, i.e. Oxon, Surrey, Wilts, Hants and IoW, Bucks, Middlesex and Wiltshire. The most notable event being the SE England Beauchamp Trophy, in which 18 Provincial sides play. Berkshire were victors in 2011 and 2013, and were runners up in 2014.

The Annual Subscription is currently £20.00, plus any voluntary donation towards the charity fund. We welcome new members who are golfers from Berkshire Lodges or Chapters and openly welcome guests, many who have gone on to become fellow masons.
