Preparing for the Masters Chair

This is an event run over two evenings that we hope that every JD, SD, JW and SW will attend before they are installed as Master. We cover things needed to be considered before they are installed as Masters, what happens at meetings and Festive Boards and what to do as you leave the chair. We are very fortunate that in Berkshire Masonry we have some very skilled trainers who are willing to share their knowledge and expertise with the Brethren.

Explaining the Second Degree

Following on from Explaining the First Degree, this evening will be temple based and guide us through the 2nd degree, stopping and explaining the ritual. It is not to be missed!

Lodge Treasurer’s Evening

This event is aimed at current or new treasurers and will cover how to prepare accounts, record keeping, spreadsheets and preparing a budget. Given the universality of lodge accounts, the evening will be of use to treasurers of all degrees, not just the craft.

Lodge Mentor’s Event

Lodge Mentors Annual Conference run by the Provincial Mentor.

Lodge Tyler’s Evening

An event aimed at new and existing Tylers

Provincial Class of Instruction

Over the last 3 years the Education Committee has developed a number of modules. These are talks of about 20 minutes covering all aspects of Freemasonry. We are producing a prospectus of these so that they are available for use either by individual lodges or by a team attending a Centre in the province. This evening will include an introduction by the PGM on the intent of the Prov CoI, followed by tasters of some of the modules.

Preceptors Seminar

We have separated out the Preceptors work from the DC’s evening so that we can concentrate on this often neglected but important office. We will cover the role of the Preceptor, how to help brethren learn the ritual, the difference between rehearsals and gaining experience and how to use our modules to help brethren learn more about masonry.
