The “Have a Go” clay pigeon shoot returned for its second year at the new location of Bradfield Farm Estate, Grove. The weather was rather overcast but this did not put off our keen and enthusiastic participants. Sixty Freemasons together with their friends and family enjoyed the event with over fifty people of all ages and abilities having a go at the clays with expert tuition being given all afternoon.
The bar provided soft drinks all day and something stronger when the guns were safely put away. The day was rounded off with a beautifully cooked and tasty spit roast hog roll.
Many people made the day a success with £158 being donated to the BMC. Particular thanks go to Henry Bishop who provided the shooting equipment, instructors and set up the field; Alan Cottrell who provided the location and the hog roast; Fin Gordon for all the admin; Jim Dance for co-ordinating the shooting and last but not least to Doreen Bishop and Claire Cottrell for assisting with the bar and food.
The date for “Have a Go Shoot 2016” has yet to be decided but keep an eye out on the website and book in quick to reserve your space.
