Berkshire Masonic Charity donates new Drama Equipment to Trevelyan Middle School, Windsor

On Wednesday 11th March 2019 Mrs Carol Hayes, escorted by W Bro Jim Sampins, PGStB, ProvGDC, who is a personal friend, and W Bro Alan Fone PPGSW, as Case Almoner, met at Trevelyan School, Windsor.  A cheque for £1,450 from the Berkshire Masonic Charity was presented by Carol to the headteacher, Mrs Nicola Chandler, in memory of VW Bro Colin Hayes PastDepPGM, a former pupil of the School and honorary member of Trevelyan Lodge No 9187.

The donation will be spent to re-establish a drama department at the school and Mrs Christine Van Ot, head of drama, and four pupils who will be taking part in the forthcoming performance of “Mary Poppins” joined the presentation.  The case almoner, Alan Fone, is a former headteacher of Trevelyan School when it was operating from the Green Lane site nearer the centre of Windsor. Colin was a regular visitor to the School when his company had the contract for building maintenance. He was a pupil there between 1964 and 1969.
