Welcome Brethren and Companions! This is a very exciting time for the Province and for Freemasonry in general! After many long months of Lockdown due to Covid restrictions, it is looking most positive that we will shortly be resuming our wonderful Craft and Chapter activity.
We will almost certainly be operating under some form of restriction to start with, but many meetings are in the process of being planned, with many going forward under the benefit of dispensation from the Province for an emergency meeting for each lodge to perform postponed business.
Now is a good time to ensure that you check in with those Lodges and Chapters whose meetings you usually attend and, subject to any restrictions that may be in force at the time, see whether your attendance as a visitor can help support them. Remember, not all members of the Province will be ready to return to Freemasonry just yet, so your attendance may make all the difference, and you may be able to assist with some of the work to be done! Our values of friendship, Integrity, respect and charity are never more relevant than at present.
Before our enforced break, the culture of visiting at all levels in the Province had seen enthusiastic support and growth. The Visiting Encouragement Team attended several organised events in the Province, actively promoting and further strengthening the culture and benefits of visiting. Many of you will recall the very successful Launch of the Berkshire Explorer at Provincial Grand Lodge in September 2019.
In the forthcoming months, the Visiting Encouragement Team will be announcing some very exciting further developments with the Berkshire Explorer, so watch this space for more updates!
The team’s remit will continue to address broadening the uptake of visiting across the Province’s masonic community and this will be even more important as the current situation continues to improve.
We are always interested to hear your thoughts and ideas as to how the Visiting Encouragement Team can continue to develop the culture of visiting within the Province thereby promoting enjoyment and improved Lodge health and growth, so please get in touch using this dedicated email address: email@example.com
