He’s behind you! Oh no he’s not! Oh yes, he is!
Berkshire masons take more than 400 children to the Panto
For the fourteenth year running, on 4th December 2018, the Berkshire Masonic Panto Project made their annual visit to the Theatre Royal in Windsor to see the Pantomime; this year it was Dick Whittington. The visit was supported by the Berkshire Masonic Charity as well as several lodges throughout the Province.
All the theatre seats for the afternoon, over 500, were bought by Berkshire Freemasons for disadvantaged, terminally ill, disabled, and children with learning difficulties and their carers and families.
The atmosphere was electric, each child was presented with a goody bag, so there was great interaction with the cast. It was a great joy to see the children having so much fun and very rewarding for all the volunteers, who had put so much effort in arranging the day.
As was our normal practice, at the end we invited several of the children up onto the stage, along with the PGM, and a number of other masonic helpers, to join in with some fun with the cast. Steven Blakely, Anita Harris, Kevin Cruise, Basil Brush Mike Read and Marti Webb were tremendous in their work with the children as was the PGM!
