Reading Half Marathon – 3rd  April 2016

Brethren back in 2008 Reading Freemasons were asked to assist with marshalling this event and successfully helped provide a great service to the runners, particularly through the centre of Reading.

Many of you have helped me in the past during this most enjoyable event. The high visibility jackets worn showing we are Freemasons helping in our community are well received by the spectators and runners alike to show our support for the many charitable causes that are at the forefront of this day.

We try to provide a minimum of 70 marshals and I have already circulated a large number of Brethren who have provided their support in the past and many of them have agreed to help once again. For those Brethren who have not participated in this in the past but would like to be involved this year PLEASE make contact with me providing your name and email details so that I can add you to the growing list. All that you require is to be able to dress to accommodate the elements and await joining information (probably from Sindlesham by bus to the marshalling points) and be assured of a really enjoyable experience.

This just takes up one Sunday morning of the year. So please give this your consideration because I am certain that you will enjoy a great time and have contributed to advancing the Masonic message in the community.

Details to me at at the earliest opportunity will be greatly appreciated and thank you in anticipation.
