Trooper Potts – Victoria Cross Winner and Freemason

Potts MemorialThe memorial statue to Trooper Fredrick William Owen Potts VC was unveiled on Sunday, 4th October 2015 adjacent to the Law Courts and Forbury Gardens in Reading and was covered by GetReading.

Trooper Freddie Potts VC was a Berkshire Freemason and served as Worshipful Master of Aldermaston Lodge No.2760 in 1935. The Freemasons of Berkshire contributed to the statue via the Berkshire Masonic Charity.

Martin Peters, the leader of the Freemasons in Berkshire, attended the event together with members of the Combined Services Lodge No. 9900 and other Berkshire Freemasons.
